Eric Joisel is an amazing artist from France who does all his work in Origami. the difference is that his work actually doesn’t look like origami. It looks much more like some type of sculpture done with modeling clay. Pretty cool looking.

Really great and unconventional art!
And the jazz-band (in the video) is not only looking very cute, they do have also a pretty nice sound
(By the way… concerning japanese art… what about your dorodango-florida-mud-ball? ;-))
Also, your Books As Art post might be considered a type of origami. At least it is art with paper.
